A "support network" for mothers who find out their teen daughters are pregnant once they give birth?

I know a devastated mom right now. . .the pain in her entire body - wow! I knew her daughter (beautiful, both parents, fine religious upbringing and cong., nice clothes, hair, school alright, friends).. .no one had a clue. I did wonder about the growing mid-section ... saw it just once and thought it to be "plain fat". I had a hunch she was into "boys" but believed she was the modest type that wouldn't dream of sexual intercourse until she was married etc. etc.

I really want to help this mother overcome her immense pain. Thought a support group would help. Sure, I could buy her a journal, flowers, etc. . .saw her last night. . .no word could pierce from her lips - the pain so heavy. . .her green eyes are now brown.

Oh, my, of course that mother needs friends. As a mom, I know what it's like to have that paralyzing sadness. Yes, the pain is immense. Moms are crushed by these mistakes (or hugely bad choices and lack of good judgement) that kids can make without thinking about the consequences.
You are so sweet to want to reach out to her. The people who are not sympathizing simply haven't had the experience of 'grieving for the living' yet. That is just what it is.
A regular group that gets together and just says 'we're here for you' and then does something fun or silly (bowling!) or just plays cards would be good - as long as you do it every week. That way, no matter how tough things are, she could look forward to something light in her life.
I think it is wonderful that you recognize her pain and want to help.
