Egyptians Romans

Do you think that ancient engineers (Ex. Romans, Egyptians) were smarter than modern day ones? totally opinion?
No, they had limited resources to use. They where very very good at using those resources to the best and total practical way of using them.
They used sound engineering without the problem of cost overhead and budget problems. (also manpower issues were not an issue).
Today's engineers have more resources. a wider range of problems to solve and the constant economic issue. However neither engineer Group is smarter then the other.

Egyptians and Romans had a different genetic code?
For the ancient history lovers. Greeks, romans or Egyptians?
What civilization (chosen from this 3) do you think had the highest contribution to our universal culture (as we see it today). If your answer is "all of them were important" pls say why. I for one prefer roman civilization because the innovations in the military, political and architectural domains.
Well, one way to look at is Greek is spoken by about 5Million people worldwide. Ancient Egyptian, other than some ritual in the Coptic Church is dead. Latin evolved into French, Spanish, Italian, Romanian. Its influence is also felt to a limited degree in Slavic languages and English.
That's several hundred million people who speak languages directly derived from Roman influence.
Modern European and US law are derived from Roman concepts, as is the idea of a Republic = "Res Publica".
Militarily, the Roman Empire ideas of regular pay, a retirement system, professional officers/warrant officers, unit loyalty are still prevalent today.
