I have and let me tell you friends the only thing I can compare it to is giving birth...My stepson was serving on the U.S. Antietam when 9/11 happened...we waited weeks before we even got an email "i'm OK" then I can't remember how many months for him to come home...but when that ship pulled into its slip and the bell was rang and the American flag raised letting us know they were home was awesome to say the least.

sadly, no, how sad is it they survive Iraq but come home and get mowed down by some Islamist nut job in their own effing base.
