Army Command Set

Which of the following best describes the situation on the Eastern Front in the early part of 1915?
1.The Turks joined German and Austrian forces to drive the Russians back into Russian territory.
2.British forces invaded Turkey at Gallipoli and helped the Russians repel German and Austrian advances.
3.French and U.S. troops pushed the German army out of France and trench warfare set in in Belgium.
4.Russian troops, under the command of Tsar Nicholas II, advanced deep into Germany and Austria-Hungary.
2 is actually wrong. That was the goal of the Gallipli operation, but it failed. The Russians were unable to repel the Germans.
1 Is better, but the initial Turkish campaigns against Russia were pretty dismal failures, and the Austrians likewise had very little success until the Germans took direct control of the Austrian army. But the German army did push the Russians back pretty significantly.

| | Pacific Command (Canadian Army) $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Pacific Command was a formation of the Canadian Army created during the Second World War to strengthen and administer home defence facilities on Canadas Pacific Coast against possible Japanese attack. A second major function was to train reinforcements to be sent to the Canadian divisions in Europe. Pacific Command combined the prewar Military District No. 11 (British Columbia and the Yukon Territory) with Military District No. 13 (Alberta and the District of Mackenzie of the Northwest Territories). The command headquarters was initially housed in Esquimalt Fortress near Victoria, but on November 30, 1942 it was moved to the Old Vancouver Hotel in downtown Vancouver. | | Partners in Command (Paperback) $38.37 In this World War II history, Mark Perry, a military analyst, examines the dynamic collaboration between America`s legendary generals, George C. Marshal and Dwight Eisenhower, that without question helped win the war. Perry explains how the elder Marshall, as Army chief of staff, recognized Eisenhower`s abilities early on, and soon gave him command of the war in Europe. As they fought together in Africa and Italy, their skills complemented each other, with Eisenhower eventually going beyond his mentor. Perry draws on the many letters Eisenhower wrote to Marshal to establish the relationship of trust between them. On June 6, 1945, Eisenhower`s plans for the D-Day invasion bore fruit, marking the beginning of the end of the war. After the war was over, Eisenhower led NATO and helped implement the Marshall Plan. As Perry shows, their partnership set the course for the Cold War that followed. |

Soviet march from "Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3" in the 1984 Army Parade
How to fix this run on sentence?
After commanding Dorchester Heights he set off for New York where he made a mistake by occupying an unattainable position in Brooklyn, luckily he saved his army by retreating from Manhattan into Westchester County and through New Jersey into Pennsylvania , from the errors that he made “he learned to use his short-term militia skills by combining green troops and new troops with older veterans to produce an efficient fighting force”.
Thanks guys
