Gen Custer

Why did gen. Custer never look at the camra?
That was actually common practice in those days. The photos were more poses than trying to capture someone in a normal everyday function. If you notice that you rarely see somebody smiling in old photos like that. It's because it was considered a serious event, and tended to cost allot of money. It wasn't until after tin types, and cheaper photos, that you started seeing more and more people smiling/looking at the camera.

General Custer Statue Dedication 1910
Where can I go to see McCain's Naval Academy Records? Is it true he graduated at the bottom of the class?
Does the name Gen. George Custer ring any bells?
DodgeB. my guess is I'm old enough to be the mother of the average Y!A member. Which professor indeed!
OLoser: READING is fundamental! That was MY question. I decided I didn't want to bury it on some lame question where no one would really see it or answer it.
Oh, I see, McCain was a lousy and LAZY student and Obama was a superstar. So academic achievement, the hard work (or lack thereof) means nothing now, right?
Yes, out of more than 800 students, McCain finished in the bottom 10! Not very impressive, I know. Guess he used his family ties (daddy was an admiral, granddad too) so it didn't matter that he barely qualified to serve as an officer. So much for Mr. Leadership Ability, huh?
edit: Boy, you really stirred a hornets nest with this one! A Hater sore spot I guess... hahahahahaha. Good job.
