Which Greek hero killed his sons and some nephews and was then banished by Creon?
Which Greek hero, who killed his sons and some of his nephews, was banished by Creon?
hmmm, oh english teacher thank you for not giving any reference as to where to find this information. I was confused I could find nothing relating to this question on the web... appears as there is no answer...

The closest Greek hero who killed his own children and wife (not nephews) was Heracles. It was due to Hera's driving him mad because of her eternal hatred for him. But he was not banished by Creon who had nothing to do with his story. Creon's was another story involving Oedipus. But then again Creon did not banish Oedipus. Instead Oedipus willingly abdicated his throne and went into exile upon discovering that the woman he married as his wife was his own mother. In Heracle's story, the hero sought the advice of an oracle who advised him that in order to be cleansed and live a normal life again, he must perform 12 tasks, thus the famous "Twelve Labors of Heracles".
