can someone tell me how having a garden help the world go green?
im not sure if that is true or not and i know that by having a garden it helps you save money and all. But is there also any reasons how it helps the world go green?if it does, please list me some reason on how having a garden is going green and maybe even helping the Earth?

Well, I feel that 'going green' is just a media buzz word right now. The fact is that most of us do want to help the environment. Planting a garden in not just an excellent way to promote 'greenness' it is also a great hobby and a way to teach yourself personal sustainability. You can create vegetable crops that will produce food for you and your family, and as you get better you will be able to grow more food in less space.
Learning how to produce food in these times is important even if you are financially well off. You never know what the future may hold in store for you, but if you can grow some of your own crops and learn how to get the most out of your garden you will find yourself less dependent on our modern systems of living - systems that could be interrupted by disasters or economic strife. Think about where the food is coming from in the grocery store.
If you are doing this garden just to be 'green' then yes it certainly does have that effect. You getting your tomato or potato from the backyard uses a lot less energy than having it moved by boat, train, and truck to your local grocer. You might not be saving the polar bears (-: but you do have an individual effect. Having permaculture crops (i.e. fruit trees or bushes) is also an excellent way to feed your family with healthy organic foods and cut down on our reliance on foreign agriculture and 'Big Agra' and GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms)
I hope this helps answer your question! While I don't like the government and corporate folks pushing the 'green agenda' I think we should all think outside of the box - this green movement is not a bad thing on an individual level and I think that it will teach some people to be more self sufficient as a side effect (Which is more important in my humble opinion). I think gardening is great for the soul as well.
