Is Turkey to blame for the insurgency in Iraq?

Turkey reversed themselves and refused to permit the U.S. Army Fourth Mechanized Infantry Division (the Army's heaviest and most modern armored force) to move into northern Iraq from Turkey. This gave members of the Iraqi regime an escape route and these people largely make up the current insurgent force in Iraq.

All the countries besides Israel hate the US over there. They will do whatever it takes to defeat any type of democracy we try to put up over there.

Turkey has been moving more and more over to a Islamic run nation. Though Iran and Russia have been supplying a lot of weapons to the insurgents, I wouldn't be surprised if Turkey had a hand in it.

Papuan Infantry Battalion

$60.54

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Papuan Infantry Battalion (PIB) was an infantry battalion of the Australian Army formed on 27 May 1940 in the territory of Papua, during World War II, in order to fight the Japanese. The unit was slow in forming, with its first members posted in March 1941. By 1942 it consisted of only three companies and were all understrength and poorly equipped. PIB was soon sent forward in June 1942 to patrol the northern coast of Papua and were dispersed over a wide area, led by Australian officers and NCOs. The small parties were the first to make contact with the Imperial Japanese forces upon landing in Papua. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Muhamale Nagarkovil LTTE FDL attacked by SLA troops with Mechanized Infantry. Northern War Front 17 th of October 2008

What kind of war?

If you had to go to war (I know, silly question, but I want to hear what people think!) as an Infantry or Armoured soldier, what style of war would you find the most "appealing" to you?

Mechanised warfare, as in Northern Europe
Irregular/guerilla-style warfare
Counter-insurgency/bush warfare, as in Rhodesia/Etc
Trench warfare, WW1 style
Desert Mech War, as in Op Iraqi Freedom
Or...?

Try and keep the answers from being too mindless!

I think the most exciting would be the bush warfare as we did in Angola. But then I want to be a tank driver.
