I'm in college but I want to join the military?
I'm in my second year of college and I feel like I'm learning stuff but the truth is, I'm so bored.
I've seen movies like Saving Private Ryan, Band Of Brothers, and Miracle At St. Anna and those movies have made me curious about the military.
It's not so much that I want to die, I just want to see more action. Plus I think wearing a uniform with a unique infantry patch would be pretty cool with the comradery.
I think it would be cool to be a paratrooper.

what can I do to better my chances into Infantry?
I'm in Army ROTC now, trying to finally get my commision. What can I do to be given the honor to lead men into battle in infantry? What skills are they looking for in Infantry Officers?
I can speak fluent native Farsi and partial Spanish. I have a unique skill with other cultures and am very open minded in finding solutions.

not enlisted smart @$$, I'm talking about the officer route
Infantry is the easiest option to obtain when becoming an officer.
They want people who can react quickly and are not afraid to lead. No one wants a follower when going to battle. that's why infantry officers spend time on the battle ground before leading.
Listen to your platoon sergeant he has been there and can teach you a lot. Learn all you can and i am sure you will be a great leader.
