how come jeep wranglers are the only vehicles allowed to drive without doors?
or are there other cars?
so its not illegal to drive without doors on the street?
i have a cherokee.
It's only legal to drive with no doors if the vehicle was available to buy without doors. All Wranglers have always had doors from the factory. The newest Jeeps that can be driven legally without doors are the CJ7 and CJ8 models which came without doors or tops - which were optional.
Whether you'd get stopped and ticketed for driving doorless is down to how the police are in your area.

What is the most common air conditioning failure on the XJ Jeep Cherokee model vehicles. (89-01)?
I think it is the evaporator under the dash board. A/C dye test proves inconclucive. Also does anyone have access to the repair proceedure via something that could be faxed to me?

Note, the 1989 and 1990 have or in your case Had R-12 and an electronic sniffer can detect a leak. Did you use the ultraviolet dye and an "Black Light". That is far more reliable than the old red dye. If it is the evaporator you, with a black light will see the dye in the water coming out.
If you changed to 134A and did not change the o'rings, you could have many orings failing. Look for a greasy look at the connections.
