Clothes made in China often contain formalin - are there manufacturers who do not use formalin?
I have heard that many Chinese clothing manufacturers lace the material in Formaldehyde (Formalin) so the clothes are less likely to crease. Formalin is a poison and the amounts that are being used in the clothing is many times above the safe limit (is there a safe limit?). 5 parts per million causes skin irritation, 20 ppm can lead to cancer and in one New Zealand study, it was found that the levels in some clothing was between 8000ppm and 18000ppm. What other manufacturers use formalin and are there brands that we can feel sure that formalin has not been added? I have also heard that some shampoo companies have formalin in their ingredient list. Is this true? What other poisons do we consume or wear without knowing?
Thats a real big worry because most shops now have clothes from china!!!

OUR watch dog is a bit SLACK they should have tested them years ago!!!
their food is just as bad toothpaste as well had some dangerous stuff in it
& now you have to ask if our veges are australian grown to be safe
woolworths even have ham in the delli that says australian & imported goods & i asked what it meant & was told the PIG was imported but i didnt ask where from & seeing heaps of stuff is from china who knows
i wont buy ham from the delli now!!!

Europeans migrated to many places in the 1800s as the population was growing and there was not enough land for everyone to grow food for thier families. Starvation killed off many, notably in the Irish famine when the potato crop failed.
Some managed to find a living, of sorts, in the new industries, but the best course for many was to take the risky voyage to the Americas or Australasia.
I do not know the other questions. They must be specialised.
