Legion Arab

If men fight for freedom of speech then why do the members of American Legion get so angry over my Coat?
My American Legion Coat has the big seal of the American Legion. Around it I have "Shame on Bush"! Then I have "Jane Fonda did good"! Below the seal I have written "Troops in Iraq have died for nothing"! Then on the left side it is written "Arabs are nice people"! Right side it is written " Shame of the USA for attacking Iraq"!
When I walk into the legion I carry a flag made in China ( Yes American Flag) and I wave it as I have a cold beer.
Dude come on.
Yes you have the right to do that. A right that they, and I, have fought for.
Of course, the right to free speech and opinion goes both ways. So don't complain when they are none too pleased with your asinine opinions.
Also, please explain how, "Jane Fonda did good."
Seriously. What is your logic there?
And most Arabs ARE nice people. Their ideas of hospitality and protection of guests are light-years Beyond what exists in America. It is a shame that a small minority willing to blow up innocent people and behead noncombatants on video are sullying the reputation of a proud people.
I believe you are just craving attention by even asking this question, and I agree that no self-respecting Legion post would tolerate the likes of you for very long.
Politics should have no bearing on the men and women who volunteered (or were drafted) to carry out the orders of presidents elected BY THE PEOPLE. We did our job, and aside from those who abrogated their duties by committing atrocities or disobeying orders, we deserve the respect of those in America we have sworn to protect.
So go head and say whatever you want to. You are very welcome. I and others have ensured you retain that right, but you may want to choose your target audience a little better, because after a few beers at the Legion, those patriots inside may lose a little self-control.

Arabic Legion in Wehrmacht
Why did the American Legion disapprove of me wearing my American Legion coat to this legal protest?
Palestinian flags waved at a rally at the corner of Orchard Lake and Maple roads in West Bloomfield Michigan today as a crowd of more than 900 gathered to protest the Israeli military strikes in Gaza.
West Bloomfield Police Sgt. Tom Ellis said there were no incidents during the nearly two-hour event. He estimated the crowd at 900 but Osama Siblani, spokesman for the Congress of Arab American Organizations of Michigan, said thousands of people attended the rally.
“The images that we see on television are really making us sick to our stomachs,” Siblani said. “This is horrible.” There were many decent Americans helping us with the protest some with American Legion clothes and some Dept of Defense people from the base helping out.
If the new Hamas rockets now with enough range to hit big towns with their doublesize explosive warheads and good guidance systems were being fired at my town, I WOULD BE TAKING SERIOUS ACTION. Anyone who wouldn't is either brainwashed, crazy, uninformed, or some other cause of inappropriate inaction. The American Legion and other commonsense patriotic organizations are understandably miffed at people using their uniform to support Hamas. Regards, Larry.
