Marching Drummer Will guys be amazed if they saw a girl drummer?
Im not talking about a rock band kind, but marching band. Yes, it does sound lame, but marching band in our school is more popular compared to the other activites.
But anyways, im the only girl playing a snare drum including four guys. Would guys be impressed that I am as strong as guys?
> Would guys be impressed that I am as strong as guys? They probably won't be "impressed" by strength (might be "surprised" which isn't the same thing), but they will be impressed, say, if you play really well or look cute with the drum (no offense) . Also depends on the size of the drum. If this is what I think it is - relatively small, horizontally aligned drum, then they won't be impressed by strength, because that thing looks light. However if the drum is huge and vertical (which is unlikely) and you don't get tired after carrying that thing around for several hours, some of them might be impressed (while others would thing that someone should have carried that thing for you instead). Also keep in mind that for many guys someone carrying weight below at least 80..100kg doesn't look impressive (even though many of them won't be able to lift 40 kg themselves). So literally to truly impress them you would have to carry at least two other people from the band (without getting tired) while playing the drum somehow. I doubt that any sane person would waste time trying to do that.
I wouldn't bother with impressing people with weight of the drum and would concentrate on performing instead - there is much better chance that it will work.
A drummer is a person who plays drums, particularly a drum kit ( drum set or trap set, which will also include cymbals), marching percussion or hand drums. The term percussionist applies to a musician performing on any percussion instrument, but usually refers to one who plays classical or Latin percussion. Most bands for Rock, Pop, Jazz, RB etc. include a drummer in their lineup, who conveys the rhythm of the music by using the drums of the drum kit to play the beat of the song, which is repeated in every bar, with added drum fills, particularly just before changes in the song. Some such drummers are session musicians and are not fixed to a particular band, working with various musical acts. Though percussion notation is some times used, many drummers create and memorise the drum beats themselves without songwriting credit. Drum beats vary in speed, volume and complexity depending on the genre of music, but are normally designed to lay down the rhythm and drive the music along. Will a marching drum harness interfere with the straps on a Camelbak?
I used to have a UnBottle Camelbak that I clipped to the back of my bass drum marching harness for practices and camp, but I lost it. I am wondering if it would be better to get a normal, shoulder strap Camelbak, but am concerned that the harness will push on the straps and make it uncomfortable. Any drummers out there want to help?
depends, does the old one feel comfortable. if slightly or little less than okay. then try the normal one. if that doesn't work out beter. return it and get another UnBottle one
