It will play in the key of A. What are some good blues songs in the key of A that will be fun to jam along to and learn how to play? I'm a big fan of John Mayall, Canned Heat, and Paul Butterfield - so any songs in A by them would be excellent!

Just make sure that your sight reading is good enough so that you can instantly play all the sheet music they put in front of you. Technically, you don't have to be a virtuoso. All the other band members are fair sight readers because that's how they work. Last but not least: dress up nicely.
