Need info re: medical marijuana cards and possession citations...?
My 19-year-old brother-in-law was cited for possession of a small amount of pot and claims the police officer told him he could get a medical marijuana card (for anxiety, depression, or somthing similar) fairly easily and avoid future citations. The cop supposedly said this after my bro-in-law lied and said it wasn't his. This sounds like something he cooked up to smooth things over a bit when telling his parents, but I'm not an expert. I know people in this area (Marin County, near San Francisco) are pretty "open-minded", but this seems a little ridiculous. I have trouble believing that, one, a cop would enable an underage (for liquor and "harder" things) kid like that and, two, that it's THAT easy to score a MM card. My understanding is those cards are given to people who have a serious illness when nothing else will help -- NOT to restless young men with girl problems who don't want run-ins with the law. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
He's lying. Police officers know that possession of marijuana is a Federal offense. There are no cards that grant individuals permission to break that law.

Oh i think that film is bloody amazing its called "Men Of Honor" and it stares Robert De Niro and Cuba Gooding Jr and its about how he tried and tried to join the navy but because he was balck they put him only as a cook on a navy ship until he proves he was much faster swimmer than any of the white navy men and then tries and tries again to get into the deep sea diving squardron in which De Niro is the instructor and he pushes Gooding Jr to his own limits.
but there is also another film much like this but instead of the navy its the marines and its called "Annapolis" and its stares James Franco and Tyrese Gibson and inwhich he also plays and instructer and pushes Franco to the limit.
