fellow malaysians: will somebody write to protest the terrible conditions in the johor bahru zoo??

some classmates of mine came from england to visit me j- i brought them to johor bahru, where we visited the zoo:
it was disgraceful! while all of the bird and deer specimens were healthy and fine, there were many mammals & primate species that were kept in fcramped iron boxes, with fliesto accompany the stench - there were cleaners who cleaned the zoo by water hoses, but they were not thorough at all!
we asked to see somebody in charge, and voiced our concerns - those animals in the filthy cages had such a sad, resigned look in their eyes - they did not respond to any movement at all.
about 6 weeks later, i brought my little cousins to visit the zoo - as far as i could tell, nothing had changed at all!
this is all the more sad because my friends told me they had been to the singapore zoo before johor, and it was incomparably better! they showed me pictures of themselved besides the singaporean and johor zoo cages to make a point.
