Paper Soldiers Book

What are some themes in the book. We were soldiers once, and young?
Im bad at identifying themes of books and movies and I have to write a paper after reading this book. Anyone else read it that know some themes?
I could help you, but I won't just give you the answer. I'll HELP you, but that means you have to start by telling me what YOU think the answer to the question is and then I'll comment and help you refine it.
I won't just do your homework for you because you are too lazy to do it yourself, but I will help if you put in some modicum of effort yourself.

| | A Soldiers Pocket Therapist $13.12 This is a book of interventions for various emotional problems common to soldiers, i.e., homesickness, depression, anxiety, anger, etc. It was written for the soldier who will not go for help for fear it will harm their career. It is also meant to provide assistance when there is none, due to shortages or distant locations of support personnel. In July 2004 the New England Journal of Medicine examined mental health problems among 3671 soldiers and Marines three to four months after their return from Afghanistan or Irag. Up to 17 of these soldiers screened positive for major depression, generalized anxiety or PTSD. Of these 17, only 23 sought treatment. This would make a great gift to give to your favorite hero. Approximately how much did it cost to send equipment/soldiers over seas to WWI?
I'm writing a research paper on why the USA should not have entered WWI. One of my paragraphs is about how it was inconvenient and costly to America, but I can't find a solid figure anywhere. So if someone can find how much one ship from the US to Europe cost in that day and age, I'd appreciate it a lot. Plus, if they could please include the site/book they found it in so I can look into it, too, and see if there's any more information I could use... I need to site it, too. Thank you so much to those who answer!
World War I was a global military conflict which involved the majority of the world's great powers, organized into two opposing military alliances: the Entente Powers and the Central Powers. over 70 million military personnel were mobilized in one of the largest wars in history. in a state of total war, the major combatants placed their scientific and industrial capabilities at the service of the war effort. over 15 million people were killed, making it one of the deadliest conflicts in human history.
the proximate cause for the war was the June 28, 1914 assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, by a Bosnian-Serb nationalist, Gavrilo Princip. Austria-Hungary's resulting demands against the Kingdom of Serbia led to the activation of a series of alliances which within weeks saw all of the major European powers at war. as a consequence of the global empires of many European nations, the war soon spread worldwide.
by the war's end, four major imperial powers (Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire) had been militarily and politically defeated, with the latter two ceasing to exist as autonomous countries. the revolutionized Soviet Union emerged from the Russian Empire, while the map of central Europe was completely redrawn into numerous smaller states. the League of Nations was formed in the hope of preventing another such conflict. the European nationalism spawned by the war, the repercussions of Germany's defeat, and the Treaty of Versailles would eventually lead to the beginning of World War II in 1939.
