Plastic Toy Soldiers
whats a good, movable and realistic soldier toy?
I need an action figure that can move pretty realistically, not like a stiff G.I. Joe action figure, like a rag doll sort of thing i can put in any position, but made out of plastic. I guess i need something with alot of joints....is there anything like that i can buy at Toys R Us or something?

You ever bump into a bag of plastic toy soldiers in the drugstore, want to rip it open and play right there?
No, but I'm not a guy. I think more guys could relate to this question. Most of them probably played with plastic toy soldiers when they were kids. Let's see, when I was a kid, I did play with plastic animals, wooden blocks, cars, stuffed animals, etc. I think that if I still had young children, I'd be tempted to want to join them in playing. If I'm by myself, and I saw a cute stuffed animal, I might want to hug it.

I was about nine. One morning I went downstairs and saw, on the floor of the dining room, a pair of the most beautiful goalposts I've ever seen. The frame of the goalposts had been made by my Dad from a construction toy I had. The posts, crossbar and stanchions were long plastic sticks slotted into the notches of, and held together by, flat round pieces. But the thing that has made these toy goals such a fond and warm memory for me down the years, is that my Mum had sewn some remnant pieces of old net curtain onto the posts to create the goal nets. The net of one the goals in particular hung just like the great old goals that you used to see on black and white TV in the Wembley Cup Finals of the early 60's. My folks had made these goals to enhance the pleasure I used to derive for myself by recreating football games on the carpet using plastic toy soldiers. The red soldier marching forward with his left foot (George Eastham) used to pass the white bead (the ball) to the red soldier standing guard (Joe Baker) who would scoop the ball past the grey soldier throwing a grenade with arm outstretched (Ron Springett in goal)and into the net. The cutain net would bulge. And I would lie, face close to the floor, marvelling at the pure asthetics of the ball nestling. I got Subuteo for Christmas that year but it was never as good.
