Name of a spooky, surreal, almost silent hill influenced photographer?
about 4 years ago I came across a photographer that manipulated pictures to look very interesting, i can only remember 1 specifically which consisted of a girl in a toy room, but from the waist down she was nothing but a metal (skirt shaped) cage (perhaps a bird cage?) which was on wheels making her one of the toys... It was all in black and white and I can't find it anywhere >.<
I'm not sure about the photographer you're looking for, but I do know that two big artistic influences for the monster designers that worked on the Silent Hill games are Hans Bellmer (specifically with the Mannequin monsters in Silent Hill 2) and Francis Bacon.

What are some good ways to amuse chinchillas, preferably homemade? and where can I get metal flying saucers?
I have four chins and they have a few toys, but I don't want them bored, because at least one gets aggressive with boredom. I have plenty of money to buy toys with, but I don't really want to spend hundreds of dollars on them, and making them things is just so fun! I have one that loves the wheel she came with, so I haven't the heart to take it away from her, but it's way too small. I could just go on about my babies for ever so I'll stop there
Previous poster - The last thing you should get a chinchilla is a runabout ball. They are nicknamed "death balls" for a reason. Please, if you know nothing about chins, don't answer when someone has a question. That's how chins end up dead.

If you go through the classifieds section at http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com, you'll find several people with wood, toy parts, as well as already made toys that you can purchase.
A huge favorite amongst the chinchilla community for wood is http://www.petproductsbynature.com/ - Barbi has some of the best wood around. Another user on the forum, stacylwolf also has excellent apple wood, about the only kind Barbi doesn't carry. My chins favorite woods are apple and pecan, because the pecan has a super crunchy bark they like to destroy.
Other things you can use are cardboard rings that are frequently used in bird toys. You can also go on ebay and do a search for "wood bird toy parts" and get lots of interesting shapes and colors to spice up your toys a bit. If you buy raw wood, just be sure that it is organic (no spraying) and has been properly prepared and baked.
Toilet paper and paper towel tubes are a big hit. Stuff some hay inside the tubes and watch the chins go crazy tearing them apart. Cardboard boxes are a great, free toy. Cut some holes in them and let the chins use them for houses, then tear them up.

These are not cheap, but they last pretty much forever and are 100% chin tested and approved. There is another wheel, an Ed wheel, which are completely silent, but they are very hard to find anymore.
