Can US and British ships be destroyed by Iranian Jets?

This video shows an attack by old Skyhawks on HMS Antelope, watch the moment when the ship explodes killing all aboard.

Iranian planes do have the capability to attach ships. However, the U.S. practices what's called Air Supremecy, which means nothing flies unless we want it to, so this capability is not an issue. The shore to ship missile sites would be taken with air strikes or cruise missiles if they became a threat.

Also the British Navy at that time had missiles and the early warning radar on separate ships which were too far apart. The U.S. does not make this mistake.

Iranian planes may take off but they would not be more than a fireball in the sky much longer after that.

HMS Beagle Storm Glass

HMS Beagle Storm Glass

$159.98

This mysterious weather predictor has been used since 1750. Famous sailor and meteorologist Admiral Robert Fitzroy used the Storm Glass aboard the HMS Beagle during his historic voyage with Darwin . After 250 years, how the Storm Glass works is still a mystery, but it is believed that it has to do with the electromagnetic changes caused by the weather. If the liquid is clear, the weather will be fair and dry; if the liquid is cloudy, the weather will be overcast and possibly rainy. The sealed glass chamber is encapsulated in a beautifully crafted brass cylinder and measures 1.65" diameter x 5.75" high. The decorative base may be secured to a horizontal surface and converts to a wall mounting system. Mounting brackets are included.

Commander Jones was Captain of the torpedo-boat destroyer HMS Shark at the Battle of Jutland in May 1916. During a destroyer counter-attack led by HMS Shark, she was badly damaged and immobilised by German shells. Under a hail of enemy shells, Commander Jones had his leg shot away above the knee but even as a tourniquet was being applied he was issuing orders for a replacement White Ensign to be flown. After Shark had sunk, Commander Jones was seen on a life raft encouraging survivors to sing. He was not amongst the survivors rescued however and his body was later washed ashore in Sweden, where he was buried.
