Should the US send more troops to Afghanistan also?
I just read this article:
http://news.yahoo.com/fc/world/afghanistan
Where are we getting all these extra troops from? First Baghdad now possibly Afghanistan. Why do we continue to add more troops when the majority of the American people are against it?
Also do you think that Iran will perceive this as more of a threat?
Good answers to all. I agree that the public or the media especially shouldn't have the say so that our military commanders do. A lot of people really do turn a blind eye.
You know, I'm not sure I've heard people protesting against Afghanistan as much as Iraq. However, the media has a large role to play in the perspective of the American people and how they respond to this war.
The American people should want to win. Not give up.
I know there will be an increase in troop levels in Afghanistan but that will come from NATO and not just the US. This will show the world what kind of commitment the Euros have to the conflict.

It is also the name of the heroine of the manga. The manga is nicknamed Afgan. Afghanistan illustrates the modern history of Afghanistan and its neighboring countries, starting from the imperialist era in the 19th century, through moe anthropomorphism. The title character, a short and clumsy bish jo, is a national personification of Afghanistan. Other female characters personify the nearby nations of Central Asia, such as Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Nations that have fought wars in Afghanistan at various times, such as Britain, the USSR and the United States also make appearances. The Taliban government and AlQaeda terrorist group are also represented in the comic. Royal Navy in Afghanistan 2007
would it make any sense for the u.s. to attack Iran while were fighting wars?
it came to my mind i doubt were going to attack their nuclear facility but...
they are a potential threat...
but if we do that and we are already fighting wars in allot of locations...
Iraq Afghanistan Baghdad and other country's in the middle east...
but i think Israel is in more of a threat but if they attack israel we may end up fighting for them any way right?
When last have you looked at a map? Not to put you on the spot, but here's what I think.
When you look at a map, you will notice that Iran is in the middle, between Iraq and Afghanistan. So what? If we were supposed to attack Iran, we should have done it by now. The time to do it was within months after invading Iraq.

That's how we used to do things: attack left, then attack right, then attack center and surround. All within weeks or months, not years.
Now, I don't know! It may cost much, much more to do what we probably should have done years ago - under the Bush administration.
