American Rev British
American Rev British
American Revolution M.C. Question?

Which of the following is a correct statement about the American colonies in the 1770s before Rev. War?
A Except for a few radicals, Americans generally accepted the policies of George III's ministers.

B Most Americans resisted the British government's efforts to impose new taxes.

C France encouraged the British colonies to revolt

D Colonial boycotts failed to have an effect on British policy.

E 13 colonies developed a single policy for dealing with Parliament.

Is it B? That's what I put.
so its A, mk6
and learn to type correctly
THE ANSWER IS A U DUMB MORONS!

Sorry, - but most American's don't do nothin'. (answer "B")

I'd say "D". -That's why we went to war.

Comment:
Well skiier656, -my phrase "don't do nothin'." is for artistic value only... It's so obvious, - no wonder you miss the obvious answers.

Comment2:
"C" would be wrong too. I can't imagine France, - under a king themselves, - advocating revolt of any citizenry. They fell 13 years after the Brits did in America.

Wampler Plexi-Drive British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal

Wampler Plexi-Drive British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal

$199.97

Wampler Pedals, being the electronics tinkerers that they are, set off to design a pedal that would get ‘Marshall’ tones out of any run of the mill amp. The Wampler Plexi-Drive British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal is the result of many long nights of breadboarding, tweaking, and tweaking some more. The Plexi-Drive is a pedal that absolutely nails that ‘JTM45’ tone like none other. Wampler Pedals designed the Plexi-Drive to sound sort of like a cross between a ‘Marshall 18’ and a ‘JTM45’, and those who have purchased the Plexi-Drive agree that it's very accurate! The bass boost toggle switch adds fat, full bottom end which is very useful in lower gain or lower volume (bedroom practicing) applications. For band volumes, cutting the bass out a bit really helps the tone cut through perfectly. Wampler Plexi-Drive British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal Features High grade film capacitors and resistors picked for their superior sound and response Completely true bypass Battery connection and 9v power jack (barrel plug like Boss) Jfet circuitry mimics tube gain, response, and sound of an old plexi 3 Knobs: tone, volume, and gain 1 toggle switch adds in a bit of bottom end for best 'bedroom sound' 2.5 x 4.5 in. Plenty of volume potential if you need it

Québec History 17 - The American Revolution

In the American Rev. were all the American greiviances really justified?

Were american greiviances really justified, or were the british actually being more reasonable than most americans have traditionally believed?

I don't think most Americans have a clue what the "grievances" were. But there were in fact some situations that the colonists found pretty annoying. There were some small things, like, the King required people to provide food for troops who were assigned to live in their houses. And there were big things, like, the millions of people who lived in North America had absolutely no say whatever in the government of Britain, although they were supposed to be British subjects. Also, the Americans were great sailors and had good ships, but they were forbidden by law from trading with Asia, so the only profitable trade they could take part in was the slave trade, which many of them despised.

The Revolution was justified, but not unavoidable. Suppose that the King and parliament had created a fair number of representatives in parliament elected from America. And they had given the Americans equal opportunity to take part in British trade around the world. Then the Revolution probably would never have happened.
