Any major problems with the S&W 22a?
My mother fails to understand that you have to pay for quality, so she just wants the cheapest .22 pistol that she can get. At my local shop, this is the S&W 22a.
I've heard that it has FTE problems alot, including seeing one FTE 20 times out of 100 round on YouTube with bulk ammo. What if she used CCI Mini-Mags?
She's as stubborn as a mule when it comes to things like this, so if she shouldn't get the gun, I need a good reason. I leave it to the good people of the Hunting section to provide such a reason, or not.

when i first got mine it was a very very picky eater.
but after i broke it in it is the glock of 22lr's
at first try to only use copper plated ammo....

Anybody have.................7mm?
Any of yall have an ammo recommendation for a Remington 700 in 7mm Remington Mag? I'll be using it mainly for mule deer and elk. Ranges would be in the 50-250ish yard area. Terrain would be moderately hilly with clear, unobstructed shots. Brand and grain size would be appreciated.
I'm familiar with most of brands and styles. I don't want to invest in too much money and time with something I won't end up liking.
Anyone used the Federal Gameshoks?
My favorite hunting rifle was a Ruger M-77, in 7mm Magnum. Hunted Antelope, Deer, and Elk with it for over 25 years. I always used a 150 grain bullet for everything I hunted. Never had a problem knocking the animal down. I would recommend the Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertip.
