British Waterloo

Battle at Waterloo ??? ..............?
What would have happened if the British lost the Battle at Waterloo? how could it affect us today ?
thanks
Napoleon actually abdicated in 1814 but decided to try to return to power.
Napoleon was never actually recognised as the true emperor of France by international powers - who went to war to restore the status quo and the bourbon monarchy of Louis XVIII to the throne.
The allies - Britain, Austria, Prussia and Russia were never going to rest until Napoleon was dethroned and Louis XVIII was restored. Napoleon represented everything that the ancien monarchies feared - the ideals of the French revolution, legitimate monarchies being overthrown by military generals, an end to the established order in Europe - and for Britain it was fearful that one power - France - threatened to take over the whole of Europe.
Waterloo was Napoleon's last throw of the dice - his last attempt to use the French army to restore him to power and to secure his position. It was Napoleon's really last attempt to show that he had control of the army - and therefore France.
Even if Napoleon had won at Waterloo, the casalties inflicted on Napoleon's army would have been so severe that any further battles would have been very costly to manpower. Napoleon would have had to avoid pitched battles to preserve his army - and therefore his throne.

Cars:
I'm very undecided about this end of the earth thing. I mean there has been scientific studies and ancient revision over this and it turns out that the Mayans weren't the first or only people to make this discovery. An ancient book called the I Ching gives predictions by tossing three coins 6 times in order to get a prediction (I asked it if the world was gonna end, I got “everything remains the same” – 27). Also, Merlin (no not the wizard the prophet) predicted and recorded the Colonists arrival into an unknown America and the name of one of the colonies, “Vir-Gin-ia.” Also, oracles who spoke w/ gods predicted, just like the previous examples I just wrote, that the end of the earth would specifically end on the 12/21/12. Science has also proven that the earth, moon, sun, and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy would be perfectly aligned, causing a massive and simutaneous shift in the gravitational pull of the earth.
Some flaws in these theories is that the earth-sun-center of galaxy theory happens every 25,000 years, so this happened before, which would come down to “How are WE here if this is predicted to be catastrophic.” Also, only ancient civilizations have predicted this, whom had a lack of technology and up to date scientific ideas. Maybe they were crazed by the toxic fumes they inhaled while predicting (which is believed to stunninly give accurate predictions for the oracles).
Some unexplainable theories in the predictions is that ALL of these doomsday theories where completely accurate and exact and that all of them believe a destruction of the earth will occur in the 21st century. It is either that these people somehow found something out that we didn't or that they all looked back into their Doomsday History. Merlin, the oracles, and the Mayans all have specific proof that 9/11 would happen, that a tsuanmi would overtake New Orleans, and that Napolean would lose to the British in Waterloo. There IS proof.
In my view, this is a far-fetched, yet accurate theory. I'm a little nervous about this, but as a Roman Catholic, in the Glory Be: “world is without end”
I liked this article, it was soothing to hear words (and proof) that the earth ending on that date is nothing, hopefully
Hello. As some of you are aware, I have a few other interests beside Formula 1 auto racing, one of them being painting miniature figurines. I would like to introduce to you, a model figure from the Airfix British Waterloo Infantry set.
