Christians: Who among you is a humanist?

I am a devout Christian, along with being a humanist. Yet, many Christians tell me these are mutually exclusive. How do you figure, when being a humanist simply means being concerned with the welfare of people and humanity overall? To me, that's the very definition of Jesus Christ Himself.

So, how can you truly be a Christian, without being a humanist as well?
Tropicalwolf... I do not listen to others, which is why I will always be a devout humanist, as that is at the heart, what a Christian truly is.

I was raised Catholic, but soon after 13 years of Catholic schooling... I gave up on it all. I was so sick of having it jammed down my throat. So I claimed I was Athiest for a while. But now I am a Humanist. Humanists don't beleive in God. Humanists beleive in the good in people and living a moral life. So yes, they kind of do contradict each other slightly.
