Marines Colour Party
Do you consider the military or the Federal government to be a gang?
The other day I was at this party, and this kid was talking about his gang (I think he was a crip), talking about how bad and tough they where and what they done, and I just smirking. So he tries to act tough and says what gang Im I in, what are my colors.
So I responded, my gang is the big red, blue and white, and it's called the U.S. Federal Government, when countries dont pay us, we embargo them, when other countries have resources we want, we invade them, when we have a problem with someone we send in the rangers and marines to depose of the dictators we don't like. When terrorist bomb us, we bomb two of their countries. We have the largest stockpile of nukes and we've used them. What has your gang done?

By nature, a gang is a group of people who "hang together" for their own benefit, not others. They have no regard for laws or rules of society and put up a false front. In no way, shape or form can the military be called a gang, as it is one of the most law abiding organizations today. The Federal government is not a gang either, but for certain branches, like Congress, I would say that they fit the bill of a gang to some degree. Try asking a politician a question and you get rhetoric - false front. Look at the scandals that have happened - no regard for laws (civil and/or moral. Who gets the benefits - themselves, not their constituents.

Sure, you could but why so many different colors. It would be in better taste to limit the colors to the blues, silver and purple or the yellow, champagne, silver and one of the blues or purple but not both.

I feel that this is probably where the Lib Dems will fall down in the next election. People will sadly vote Labour to a) remove the Conservatives or b) to remove the Coalition.
When actually what we should be doing is voting Lib Dem so to give them a fair chance at running the country.
People forget that we are going through a major financial up turmoil and whatever the colour of the party that got into power, they would still be looking at the same set of number and the same options with which to reduce the number.
They may call the changes something different but there would be changes under any government.
So when the Unions get on their little podium and start shouting how the Coalition is running the country I would be interesting to see what they are shouting when everyone is out of a job.
