Omdurman British

Should Sharia be allowed in America?
It has already being implemented in British Islamic communities.
Sharia, or Islamic law, influences the legal code in most Muslim countries. A movement to allow sharia to govern personal status law, a set of regulations that pertain to marriage, divorce, inheritance, and custody, is even expanding into the West. "There are so many varying interpretations of what sharia actually means that in some places it can be incorporated into political systems relatively easily," says Steven A. Cook, CFR senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies. Sharia's influence on both personal status law and criminal law is highly controversial, though. Some interpretations are used to justify cruel punishments such as amputation and stoning as well as unequal treatment of women in inheritance, dress, and independence.

Absolutely, positively not.
The Fourteenth Amendment guarantees equal protection under the law. We all need to be subject to the SAME laws for that guarantee to mean anything.
If Moslems don't like our system of law, they should return to wherever they came from.

| | 2008 Attack on Omdurman and Khartoum $81.25 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The 2008 attack on Omdurman and Khartoum was a May 2008 raid by the Justice and Equality Movement, a Darfuri ethnic minority rebel group, against the Sudanese government in the cities of Omdurman and Khartoum. From the governments viewpoint, the attack took place on a single day, May 10, 2008, while JEM has countered the governments account with reports of heavy fighting in parts of the Khartoum metropolitan area into May 11. More than 220 people were reported to be killed in the raid, including one Russian officer, while scores were later sentenced to death. It was the first time that the War in Darfur, previously confined to western Sudan, reached the countrys capital. The incident marked a dramatic widening of the conflict in which up to 300,000 people have died and 2.5 million been made homeless since 2003. Despite decades of warfare in Southern Sudan, Khartoum has not experienced any street fighting since 1976.
