Spartans Persian Immortal

Persians, What was your reaction to the 300 movie?
It was an outrage....meant to insult the very glory our history had....an opera of lies - inaccuracies...
We were potrayed as hideous low lives...subhuman monsters with a God King we never had....
We were potrayed as cowards....as ridiculous slaves we never were....Our Heroes, the immortals, were shown to be villains.....
This was an insult to our solemn pride - how could such a movie be assumed as historical fact?
Ok maybe the Spartans were heroes, powerful militaristic people, but why were the persians ridiculed in such a manner?
What was your reaction?
Who cares? It was a movie...man do you expect Iran to be immune to being charectirized as villians?
This movie was an epic..meaning the heroes would be glorified and the villians would be demonized. I find it very arrogant that you guys did not speak a word when the native americans were viciously mocked yet when Iran gets it you guys rush to condemn it. That is hypocrisy.
You should hold back your pride and recognize that this is a work of fiction, meaning that its NOT going to follow through accurately.
To directly answer your question we were demonized because thats how WE appeared TO the Spartans..that is how they viewed us, thats what they told their children we were like, and the movie personified us this way.
Be proud but don't go on the warpath everytime someone pokes fun at history....they have a right to do it. and THEY SHOULD do it..for the sake of free speech and entertainment. 300 was a great movie and I am going to purchase the DVD.
By the way I am of persian decent too......it was a Great movie. It wasn't meant to insult our history dude, take a vicodin or something

300 - Persian Recut
Why the American Movie "300" defame the Persian Civilization ?
brainwashing americans ?
getting ready to invade and attack ryan nation of Iran?
or what?
The Persian King was not a black bold head gay activist like the movie shows!
Spartans were not he-man's and hulks like the movie show.
Immortals were not samurais!
lol
hollywood need tu study world culture before making movies!
Is it because jews hate Iranians ?
it is a fiction and free interpretations of director

very inaccurate…it is based of a graphic novel loosely based on the Battle of Thermopylae …a battle where 300 Spartans and an alliance of other Greek soldiers fought a huge army of Persians…and died to the last man….thy Persian immortals were real troops in the Persian army but 300 made them look like freaking ninjas…while immortals where really just a really strong heavily armored Persian infantry unit…the Persians did use elephants in their armies at some battles….but not at Thermoplyae…no rhinos have ever been used as war machines though as 300 showed …and of course there were no huge monster guys fighting for Persia either
