Britains Royal Marines
British bravery?
The british royal marines show again how good britains military is with a daring rescue in afghanistan. 4 Royal marines clung to the sides of a apache helicopter to rescue a fallen comrad after fierce fighting against the taliban. They were flown directly into the fighting and succesfully recovered the marine. The found out when the got back to safety that he was dead unfortunately but the fact they risked so much on the side of a helicopter designed only for offensive operations shows incredible bravery but to do it during a battle makes it an amazing acheivment.
Its all part of the job I know but i for one am proud of our forces and their undefiable stance in the face of the enemy and cant wait to play my part.
Has anyone else heard about this and what do you think?
I did hear about that story, actually. But I'm not surprised. When you consider your island country once dominated the globe you also have to stand in awe of it's military capability. The British forces have always demonstrated remarkable tenacity and bravery. Probably many Brits don't like Americans or think we're arrogant or stupid or whatever. But we don't hate you. We admire and respect the British. If for no other reason they taught us how to fight.

after the war of 1812 i have always thought they had gotten weaker. but some people say the royal marines are the best ever. who the hell are they! are they even good? what does england have to compare with the domination of the US military?
