Coldstream Guards Fight

what do you think is the best infantry regiment to join?

hello i was just wondering what infantry regiment would be best to join.

1. Coldstream Guards - i would love to do 'trooping the colour' and then be able to go on the front line and fight.

2.The Rifles - they have the most variety of roles from the commando role to armoured and even light infantry along with more.

3. PWRR - this regiment is my local regiment

4. The Parachute Regiment - they are the toughest to get into and you also have to be very fit they are also the air assault for the british army

any comments would be helpful

There is no right or wrong answer to your question, as all of the above regiments are "The Mutts Nutts" .

The longest basic training would be for the Royal Marine Commando's (32 weeks)

Take your time, do some research and i'm sure you'll make the right choice for yourself whatever you decide.

It lies on the north bank of the River Tweed in Berwickshire, while Northumberland in England lies to the south bank. A former, burgh, Coldstream is the home of the Coldstream Guards, a regiment in the British Army, and is the location where Edward I of England invaded Scotland in 1296. In the 18th and 19th centuries, Coldstream was a popular centre for runaway marriages, in a similar vein to Green, as it lay on a major road (now the A697). Notable buildings in the town include the toll house marriages were conducted, and The Hirsel, which is the family seat of the Earls of Home. An imposing monument to Charles Marjoribanks, MP for Berwickshire, stands at the east end of the town, close to the Coldstream Bridge. Henderson Park has good views of the river and Nuns Walk, the closest one can get to the water.
