Is this the stereotypical ass-umption that Barack Obama has of small town people?

Stereotype: "Hi everyone. I'm Billy Bob from Small Town USA. I'm a typical white person that hates social progress and the Marxist/Utopian goals that the Democratic Party will lead us toward. I offer praise to the KKK, I hate women, I'm a misogynistic homophobic bigot that hunts deer and it patriotic, and I'm a religious fanatic bent on converting or subjugating non-Christians. Me and my guns are ready for "THE REVOLUTION", and we anxiously await the big overthrow of the evil Federal Government. Since I'm in this category, I also enjoy molesting little girls in the name of Jesus just like all those white conservatives out there (and even the occasional little boy). I punch my wife around because she deserves it (just read what yer Bible has to say about the evils of women, starting with Eve), and my kids too just because I'm so rotten. To learn more about me, just watch your typical Hollywood-produced movie."
I'm from a small town and you actually are correct about some things for a very small minority of people....unfortunately.
But many people from small towns are the complete opposite. We have a strong sense of compassion, unity, and support, and although I come from a town, where hunting season is big, I don't recall anyone wanting to start a revolution with their hunting rifles. Most people tend to be patriotic and are not dumb. We have smaller class sizes because we are smaller and we probably are better educated than over-crowded big city schools. We had TV and the internet, so it's not like we were cut off from life outside of where we lived. Hope that helps. I don't know what Obama thinks, but he probably wouldn't know if he didn't grow up in a small town. I don't support him, but I'm sure he just didn't know and I can't attack him for that. I bet he learned from his mistake.

dont kid yourselves...they can take out your ships/ then you will have to invade and send your country deeper into debt and lives lost......cant you silly billys see the writing on the wall?
iran has the right to determine its own destiny..including nuclear bombs..just like you folks, dont try to limit them and their aspirations, its just not fair
This silly billy knows it is a little more complex than that.
So what if they can take out an American ship, the problem is for them to do it. Saddam had one of the biggest armies in the world and while ours, Russia, and China were each the only ones bigger (maybe North Korea, but there are different stories about them too), we sent a tiny piece of ours and dispatched Saddam's military in about three weeks. Sure we didn't win the peace, but the point is we have some very capable people able to do some very exceptional work--and all of them practiced and experienced by now.
The question still is IF, not when. Military ventures are rarely without cost, so maybe they do shoot down a plane or sink a ship. We will have delivered much worse to them. It is part of the price of war. Take the first Gulf War, Iraqi losses were almost a quarter-million, we lost a few hundred. Remember, the issue is not how many countries the US can conquer and keep, but how many dangerous leaders that threaten us can we stop.
BTW: Interesting that you would use the "writing on the wall" story, it was folks from what we now call Iran that overthrew the kingdom of the man who saw the writing on the wall that told of his downfall in Babylon. They too had their day.
