Army Howitzer

Does U.S. army still use the 8" howitzer?
While in the U.S. Army {1964-1966} I was in the field artillery assigned to an 8" howitzer battalion. I was wondering if they are still being used, if not when did they go away?
No, I was one of the last Operators of the M110A2 Howitzer, it was totaly removed from the US inventory in 1993/94. Its replacement is the MLRS (Multiple launch Rocket System.) All National Guard and reserve units have completed transition to either 155MM How or the MLRS, however, they are in the inventory with other countries. Korea still uses them.

| | Type 96 15 CM Howitzer $89.22 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Type 96 15 cm Howitzer (], Kyrokushiki Jygosenchi Rydanh?) was a 149.1 mm calibre howitzer used by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. It was intended to replace the Type 4 15 cm howitzer in front line combat units from 1937, although it fired the same ammunition. Work on developing a new field howitzer for the Japanese Army began in 1920 and continued for over a decade. The Japanese Army sent numerous military attachs to Europe during World War I and observed the effectiveness of sustained artillery barrages against fixed defenses and opposing infantry. 2] The final specifications to meet the Armys requirements called for a howitzer that could be elevated to 65 degrees, with a maximum range of 12,000 yards, which could be transported by a team of six horses. The new design was ready by 1934, but Army Chief of Staff Kazushige Ugaki opposed its production until further tweaks were made. Production finally commenced in 1937. A total of 440 units were produced. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. 155mm howitzer US army firing some rounds
Would a Howitzer,Panzerfaust,Grenade,MG42,Kar-98K,Gewehr-43 work in a vampire infested world?
You just survived a vampire outbreak and you find a German Army weapon cache from the second world war, well would those weapons work in a vampire infested world, time is running out and you know the Human Vampire Virus is spreading from human to human which causes them to hunt for blood within 24 hours?
more info from http://www.fvza.org/science1.html
usually im more into thinking about what would happen in a zombie infestation - in fact im obcessed with it. but vampires are also a concern. if we are following a straight vampire infection - which i can assume that we are - once the virus has past the transformation stage - these weapons will do almost nothing. it would be critical to weed out possible infected before transformation. the weapons would be handy here. also a strong heart. once you are staring down the sight of a luger at a 12 year old infected kid, you have to be able to pull that trigger. not only for yourself but for his sake
