Norman Sword

Making Norman sword for 4 the battle of hastings(a play).I was wondering wat pattern i could use on the sword.?
My sword is quite small and is wooden. The spear part is silver(spray paint) and the handle is gold(acrylic paint). The pattern can not be confusing and hard to do as i am a pathetic artist
Please make sure the pattern fits in with the Normans at the battle of hasting 1066
Thanks ![]()

| | The Sword in the Stone - $14.99 1963's The Sword in the Stone is Disney's animated take on Arthurian legend. In the midst of the Dark Ages, when England has no rightful ruler, a sword imbedded in a stone mysteriously appears in a London churchyard, bearing the inscription "Whoso pulleth out the sword of this stone and anvil is rightwise king born of England." Scores of would-be kings travel to London to attempt the feat and thereby claim the throne. They all fail. Years later, in the English countryside, an 11-year-old squire nicknamed Wart (Rickie Sorensen) is devotedly helping his incompetent foster brother, Kay (Norman Alden), train to become a knight, when he meets the great magician Merlin (Karl Swenson). The well meaning, but absentminded, wizard declares himself Wart's mentor and claims that he will lead the boy to his destiny. Spirited and full of spunk, Wart (whose real name is Arthur) approaches Merlin's lessons with the same determination that he applies to Kay's hopeless training and to the monotonous chores he is assigned by his guardian. He soon finds himself accompanying Kay to London for a jousting tournament that will determine England's new king. There, Wart forgets to bring Kay's weapon to the joust, but finds an abandoned sword in a nearby churchyard -- which he effortlessly pulls out of a stone. ~ Aubry Anne D'Arminio, Rovi |

Norman Sword : Cold Steel Knives
I'm looking to learn how to sword fight....Anyone know where?
I am a 13 year old girl. I will be turning 14 this year. And was wondering if anyone knew where I could learn how to fight with a sword. I have always wanted to learn, but never could...So I was wondering if there was any camp or individual class I could take (that was pretty cheap) that could teach me. A summer camp would be best...but anything y'all have is great. I live in the Norman Oklahoma area. I f anyone has anything please email me as soon as possible, Thank You.
I am full prepared to get 'cut up' I have no problem with scars. I want to learn because I have anger issues that need to be dealt with. And I beleive it will be fun. *Again; any ideas are helpfull, Thank You
*
kendo will teach you sword in a safe environment, although not all kendo dojo's will take children,
you are better off joining a martial arts school like karate, judo, kungu, japanese jujutsu, they will also help you deal with your anger issues. and will be just as much fun.
btw its not being cut you need to worry about, its loosing parts of your body especially fingers and toes, i know a few people that are missing them, and there swords were not that sharp. getting scars is nothing compare to what could happen if you do sparing with live (sharp) blades.
ant the people i know that lost little parts of them weren't sparing, they were just doing kata and some of them slipped.
if you think getting cut up in class is cool then you need to seek help

My concern would be that that sucker is too heavy and too big to use repeatedly or in close quarters, whereas the Norman sword can be used with one hand allowing the other hand for grabbing or the use of a shield or firearm.
