Patrol Jeep

Farm Aircraft - Utility Class?
What would be a relatively good aircraft for a farmer to use as a utility machine?
Ideally this aircraft would only have to meet VFR requirements and carry two persons max.
STOL capability would be preferred as would the ability to land and take off from grass or unimproved roads.
The aircraft's primary use would be patrol and carrying feed and equipment to remote areas in Summer and Winter.
I guess the best way to describe it would be an 'air jeep'.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
What you're describing is the typical bush plane. Depending on how much equipment you need to carry, you could be looking at a Super Cub or Husky, or even some of the classic light planes like Aeronca or Taylorcraft (old or new LSA). If you need something larger, a Maule might be a good choice, or one of the many homebuilt designs.

Toyota Hilux, Nissan Patrol, Jeep Cherokee off road, Hilux crash
Toyota Landcruiser or Nissan Patrol? (Australia)?
I am looking to spend upwards of 20k on either of the above. Either GU Patrol or 105 series Landcruiser. All seem to be circa 2001/2002 with upwards of 150,000km's on clock. Which would be more reliable and last another 100,000km's 'hassle' free. The Patrol's seem to be 3.0 Turbo Diesels and the Cruisers are a 6cyl 4.5. I go offroad as live near beach and forests. Will not entertain Jeeps, Land Rovers etc. Based in Australia.
If your getting the nissan patrol GU 3.0L make sure its after 2002. They had issues with there engine blowing. Another thing to consider if your looking at the cruiser with the 4.5 litre petrol is the Patrol with the 4.8litre. I currently own a 80 series with the petrol and my father owns the 105 with the 6cyl petrol. If I had a chance to buy again I would opt to find a Nissan Patrol 4.2litre turbo diesel. Great engine, bullet proof drive train (better than Landcruisers). And if your real smart you can find the later model with one that came with factory intercooler.
Too sum up:
The petrols arent cheap on fuel, though they do have cheaper service costs (if you can perform them yourself).
In terms of performance Petrol wins on and offroad whether cruising alone or towing a van the petrol is much more comfortable (you will pay for it in fuel though).
Patrols are tough, tougher than cruisers. Cruiser are light years ahead in fit and finish (best dustproofing in the world).
So if your after a real offroading legend that keeps on coming back for more then Patrol, however if your after more touring with bits of offroading then Landcruiser for sure.
These are the two I would pick if I had the money.
Nissan Gu patrol 4.2litre Turbo Diesel
Or
Toyota Landcruiser 4.2litre diesel (that came with the factory auto transmission). Then aftermarket it with a turbo kit for around $3500 to $4000.
