How do you find the dimension of a rectangle with a perimeter of 216ft?

Ok well see I'm in Algebra 1 which is advanced math for my grade, anyway there is this problem that asks The perimeter of a garden is 216ft. A homeowner is installing a fence around the garden. Write and solve an equation to find the garden's dimension. Two of the sides say 2x and two of the sides say 3x. Please help me soon!!! Thanks a bunch

I don't understand because there should be two variables for lenth and width but here ya go?

2x + 2x + 3x + 3x=216
Add like terms (in this case would be all of them)

10x=216

Divide by 10 on both sides to get x by itself.

x=21.6
