Can I service my own Bontrager 2 piece crankset's bearings?
I have one of those fancy 2 piece cranksets from Bontrager (specifically the Race GXP), and one of the bearings feels really gritty. Do these things usually come with sealed bearings, or can I take off the side shield so I can clean and regrease it?
They should be sealed bearings. But that only means to service them you replace the bearings. Can you do it? I don't know your mechanical ability. I can do it , but I am above average in mechanical aptitude and having 40 years experience working on bikes.
