What to do in this situation?
You just finished watching Pirates of the Caribbean in theatre. After its over some crazy dude shouts " SHES A WENCH! BUTT PIRATE AND BUTT PILLAGER . OBTAIN THE RUM ? ". This actually happened and i just laughed. What would you do?
I would have laughed too! Sounds like something a teenager or twenty something might do. For a real pirate check out Maddox!

I'm worried about my son dressing like a pirate for Halloween; he'll grow up thinking he's a brigand & a thief
If I allow him to dress up like a pirate, he may grow up thinking he's a brigand, a pillager, a thief, a scoundrel, a no good criminal. It may effect him later in life. He may grow up with a complex about piracy.
Should I dress him like a pirate anyway?
I LOVE the differences in responses between this question and my previous few questions. Here, people are saying "it's JUST a costume, don't freak out. He probably won't remember and even if he does, it's just a pirate costume. No big deal".
BUT... if you check my last couple questions, people FREAK OUT at the prospect of putting a boy in a princess dress. At that point, it's apparently not just a costume to them. At that point, according to a lot of the respondents, it becomes a torture device, something that will psychologically scar him and "turn him gay".
Yeah.
Crazy crazy people.
Oh yeah! Did you know the Nancy Pelosi and Ban Ki Moon made every third Thursday...."Talk Like a Pirate Day"..that is right!!! Now hell have to say Ar, argh, argh, argh and all that stuff.
On second thought....have him dress like a grand poof and say "finger mi poop deck and blow my main mast!"
