Schnoodle v. Miniature Poodle v. Papillion?
Hi,
After a lot of searching, I have narrowed down to these three. I need a dog that sheds least to none, is easy to housebreak and train and is good with cats and children.
Papillion are very expensive. Plus some sites say it sheds a lot, some sites say it does not (seasonal/moderate). Very confusing. Also, there are mixed reviews about the temprament.
Min. Poodle - seems to be intellegent and non-shedding. However, some reviews say they are not always good with kids.
Schnoodle - since it is a mix, many are against it. However, they shed least to none and are easily trained and very friendly (or so I read).
Please help
No one is against mutts.
What people are against are the idiot breeders telling undereducated gullible people that the dogs "shed least to none and are easily trained and very friendly".
With mutts, there is no way to know. And only bad breeders breed mutts, which means the dogs are low quality. Low quality dogs have temperament issues and health issues.
If you want to rescue a Schnauzer/Poodle mutt from the shelter, excellent. http://www.petfinder.com Just be aware of the temperament and health issues that come with such dogs.
Poodles and papillons should be about the same price - $750-$2000. Not sure who is trying to charge more than that. . .
Papillon temperament is wonderful, if you can handle a stronger willed intelligent little dog. Papillons are spaniels, which can be a handful if not properly bred or properly trained/socialized. http://www.papillonclub.org/
Poodles are very intelligent and low shedding. However, the grooming requirements are high. They should be fine with well-trained children, as long as the dog is properly bred, socialized, and trained. http://poodleclubofamerica.org/
There are tons of bad breeders of poodles and other small dogs out there. Make sure you are doing proper homework to ensure you don't end up with a sickly ill tempered dog. Review these sites so that you don't get scammed.

Is it a problem when your miniature horse is potbellied, yet boney?
My weanling falabella colt is a very potbellied little guy, and I had my neighbor horse expert to come out and look while she was at the farm, and I was told to look stuff uo on the internet, and did, but I couldnt find anything. Please either GIVE me advise or give me a website. I am going to deworm him again, unless the vet reccomends otherwise. Please help me out, this little guy is great and i want to breed him, but if its going to harm him, i wont. Plus, he has knock knees, and cow-hocks.
knock knee and cow hocks are genetic faults and therefore would make him not a candidate for breeding(poor conformation qualities) . Pot belly and poor body condition is most usually a parasite problem. Simply worming your mini horse may not help you. Take a stool sample and a blood sample to your vet to determine exactly what parasite it is and then use medications to remedy the problem. Pot belly itself does not necessarily mean worms. Horses that eat low quality forage will get a bloat belly look. That is remedied by a better diet and bit of exercise that consists of more than freedom in a paddock/pasture. Jogging builds muscle and trims fat, gallop will suck the belly up.
