The International Red Cross has been providing a service to reunite families displaced by war. It's a very good program and they still have all of the records of those who registered to find family members whom they lost contact with during WWII. You can find more information on it by contacting your local Red Cross office, and they'll help you get in contact with the office that handles these inquiries in the US.

Polish Pilots of the RAF
Anyone else no any fighter pilot jokes?
A famous Polish fighter pilot who flew with the RAF in WW2 was being interviewed on TV. In 1942 I remember we were escorting some bombers when these three Fokker's came out of the sun.The interviewer interrupts him and says --I would like to point out to the viewers that a Fokker is a type of German fighter.Oh no says the pilot these Fokker's were messersmichts.
why did the plane crash??
because the pilot was a loaf of bread.
