At the time "Blue Oyster" made it a hit- they were trying to warn us of what will happen in the future. In those days, many bands and singers used good and evil in their songs to try to awaken everyone around them of what will or could be coming down the road.
Some of these bands and singers were "devil cult " members or "culturist and lyricist of bards of old" Some of the singers and bands were also known as " Bands of Gods Chosen people"! Over all neither side really gained the advantage, where one type was, another band was elsewhere, then you had what we use to call "The Middle Walkers" Those on the edge of neither hell nor heaven. The thing is, about words in a poem or song, to understand them, you must first read into each phrase or stanza and break it down - step by step. Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies (Cookie Mix)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 tablet Mexican hot chocolate drink mix (from 19-oz package; try using about 2 TB of home made? If you don't like, adjust to suit your tastes)
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
1 egg
1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
1. Heat oven to 375°F. In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
2. In 1-quart saucepan, melt butter and hot chocolate tablet over low heat, stirring constantly.
3. Place cookie mix in large bowl. Stir in melted butter mixture and egg until soft dough forms. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
5. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set (do not overbake). Cool 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheets. Store covered at room temperature.

MEXICAN HOT CHOCOLATE
3 cups confectioners' sugar
3 cups nonfat dry milk powder
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup non-dairy powdered coffee creamer
1 cup cocoa powder
4 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
1) Mix all ingredients together well.
2) Store in an airtight container.
3) To serve, place 1/4 cup mix in cup and add 3/4 cup hot milk, stirring until mix is well blended
CZECHOSLOVAKIAN COOKIES
Yield: 24 cookies
1 c Butter
1 c Sugar
2 Egg yolks
1 ts Vanilla
1/8 ts Cardamom
1/4 ts Allspice
2 c Flour
1 c Pecans, chopped
1/2 c Strawberry jam
Cream butter until soft. Add sugar gradually, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks and vanilla; beat hard. Sift cardamom and allspice with flour; gradually add to butter mixture, mixing thoroughly. Stir in chopped nuts. Spoon half of the dough into a
greased 8 inch square cake pan; spread evenly. Top with strawberry jam. Cover with remaining dough.
Bake in 325 degree oven 1 hour or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into about 1 1/2 inch squares.
My uncle has just begun to make these, the past couple of years, I really like the poppy seed one, I never knew the name of them! I consider this a dessert, as after Christmas, or Thanksgiving meal that's when we usually eat them. He cheats & fills crescent rolls with the fillings, he's made the cottage cheese, apricot ones, prune, pecan & poppy seed.
