Prado Pilot

What is the safest large SUV to buy?
I am little confused in buying a safe vehicle. I am stationed in Kuwait with the Army, and live in a country where car accidents and deaths are a daily occurance. I want to buy something safe, but atthe same time reliable and has good resale value. I am looking at the following cars:
(Expedition, Suburban, Durango, Pilot, Explorer,4-runner, Lexus GX470)
I like to stay in the $25-$35k price range. When I think about safety, I think Expedition, and when I think about reliability, I thinkk Toyota Prado (similar to Lexus GX470) or Honda Pilot. New expedition runs about $26k, and Toyota Prado is about $30k. Unfortunaltley, many of the cars in Kuwait don't come with full safety options like the US. Usually only front airbage and ABS. DSC, side airbage, are only offered on the Honda Pilot here. I am sure they are offerd on other German and Volvos, but they are out of my price range.
Should I go with safety as in size in the expedition, or reliability with toyota/honda, etc?
The safest bet for you to hold to would be to not buy a damn SUV at all. You pick the most unsafe vehicle on the market then you ask for us to tell you which one is less of a death trap? Sweet crackers. SUV's have the awesome ability to roll on command (sometimes without)! Why would you want to drive something like that? You should totally go with the reliability of a Honda/Toyota. A Honda/Toyota car! SUV...Holy crap man.

Honda Pilot Devan Prado Moss Bros Honda
Hello Guys!!! I am intending to buy 2007 Ford Explorer. Your comments please?
I looked arround and I found it suitable for me and for my family (6 memebrs). This car has been recommended by consumer guide expert. My altrnatives are Honda Pilot and Toyota Prado. This car will cose me tentatively $30000.
The Honda Pilot (and the Toyota) has several advantages over
the Ford. Reliability, longevity, and resale-value, not to mention
that the Honda is most roadworthy.
You will have to decide which one you like the best because you
are the one that will have to live with it and the payments if you
are financing or leasing it. My preference of the three is (you've
guessed it!) the Pilot.
